Hawk Hill
Hawk Hill is a prominent hill in the Marin Headlands near San Francisco known for its sweeping views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Pacific Ocean, and the Bay Area. It’s part of the protected coastal landscape managed within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
It’s especially famous as a viewing point for raptor migration in the fall, when hawks, eagles, and other birds ride the coastal winds along the ridge. Because of that, it’s also associated with local wildlife observation and nature study. The area combines coastal grassland, windy ridge conditions, and wide open scenery that makes it one of the most recognizable viewpoints in the region.
